About

The goal of the Art Tells Stories group is to creat a visual history of two northern New Brunswick communities.

Miramichi Art Core and the Bathurst Art Society through the efforts of twenty plus visual artists have been capturing the historic significance of our respective communities.

• Each year we conduct a Plein Air event alternating between Bathurst and the Miramichi.  This year it is in Miramichi.
• Learning events are organized each year for our members.  In the past we have conducted workshops such as:
  • Fluid Acrylics
  • Life-Drawing
  • Wire sculptures
  • Colored Pencils
• Each year the group organizes a themed art show.  A Complete list of these is noted on the home page of this site.

If you are an artist in Bathurst or the Miramichi and would like to take part in these events you should join either group.  An on-line registration form is found on this site and on both the Miramichi and Bathurst member site.
